Ordoline academy part 1: Aligner Orthodontics, Tallinn

This introductive course covers in details the fundamentals of orthodontics, to facilitate the incorporation of orthodontic principles into daily clinical practice. Emphasis will be placed on the clinical examination and the collection of diagnostic records. Participants will be introduced to the biomechanics of dental movements and learn how to assess and diagnose orthodontic problems of growing and adult patients together with potential treatment options.

During this course, participants will learn about:

• Introduction to the discipline of orthodontics and general framework
• Concepts of growth and development (cranial vault, maxilla, mandible and dentition)
• Orthodontic patient examination and diagnosis: Malocclusions and dental anomalies
• Principles of successful treatment planning

Lektorist: Dr. Rosaria Bucci is a renowned international lecturer and trained dentist. She graduated in Dentistry at the University of Naples Federico II (Italy). She got a Ph.D. and she is Specialized in Orthodontics. Also, she received a Master Degree in Orofacial Pain and Temporomandibular Disorders. Dr. Bucci is a University Research Fellow, Orthodontic Clinical Instructor and Assistant Professor for undergraduates teaching of Orthodontics in dentistry courses. She has fulfilled the requirements for provisional membership of the European and Italian Board of Orthodontics. She is active member of EOS (European Orthodontic Society), SIDO (Italian Society of Orthodontics), IADR (International Association for Dental Research), EAOPD (European Academy of Orofacial Pain and Dysfunction).
